Day Trust warmly invites you to celebrate its 9th annual Spring Wedding Show on
Sunday 21 September, 2008 in style
at the Hotel Grand Chancellor.
Each year the show raises funds for Child Helpline and the Royal NZ Foundation of the Blind. To date, The Trust raised over $39,000.
The carefully selected wedding professionals
will create a ’bridal shopping mall’ under one roof, inspiring you with ideas
and expert advice, also enabling you to plan your entire
wedding.
Ali Jones of Newstalk ZB will host the two bridal fashion shows at 11:30 am and 2.30 pm for your
convenience.
The glamour of Canterbury’s award winning bridal fashion houses featuring
the latest designs for the bride, groom and the rest of the wedding
entourage will be showcased. These include Brides of Merivale, Robyn Cliffe Couturier, Louise Anderson
Bridal Designs, Avon Bridal
Gowns, Wilkins Formal Hire and Deans Suit Hire - to name a few.
This year’s catwalk will also include the new season’s sexy lingerie and swimwear for the Honeymooners! The latest colours, style and texture
will certainly excite you.
Event venues and accommodations include my favourites, Terrace Downs Hotel Grand Chancellor and Monavale while catering with Kiwi Cuisines and Cup Cake Parlour, China Cabinet and Got
It Covered.
Also Cakes
Galore for wedding cakes,
with venue decorators including Acropolis Wedding Hire and Distinctive Décor. Jewellery section include Kennett’s Jewellery ,Clara Jewellery and The
Pearl Place.
Too Chic
Entertainment is
this year’s official music provider for the catwalk. There will also be
showcasing of various musicians throughout the day.
Dove releases by Wings
of Love and Fuchsia are newcomers.. Lush Florist has been a very loyal supporter
of few years.
Alyssandra will enthrall you with wedding
prints while civil reunion marriage celebrants, Anne Stubbersfield -
( the all weather celebrant) and Julie Lassen will advise you on wedding ceremonies.
Crown Limousines
NZ Ltd has
been involved with Your Day Trust since its inception and will show their vast
range of wedding transportation from luxury sedans like classic to modern Rolls
Royce, Jaguars, Mercedes to the latest stretched and super stretched
limousines.
Capturing your wedding we have professional
photographers, Special Images and Photo Flair Weddings will do you proud for your
special day while Ace Videos will capture your ‘moving’
memories forever!

Be prepared to be
pampered with on-site facials and massages, also sample some of delicious
cuisines. Fitness includes Fortitude Fitness and Catch Fitness. Ook out for Wax Pot.
Hair and makeup artists will come up with stunning looks or you can choose your
own style with Rebeka Holdaway,
Mary Kay Cosmetics and Angela Minson Makeup Artists , Sheer Bliss Beauty
Boutique ( manicure, pedicure, waxing,
spray-tanning and make-up) amongst other experts.
Chocolate Fountain, Taste Buds and Helen’s Home-made Chocolates will be really difficult for me stay from…Yum !

Your Day Trust presented yet another exceptionally successful Spring Wedding Show at Rydges Hotel Christchurch on Sunday 17 September 2006.
All aspects of the wedding for the bride and groom- including top
reception
and venues, health, hair & beauty specialists, florists, jewelery &
wedding
accessories suppliers, photographers, marriage celebrants and
wedding transport experts helped couples plan your entire day under one roof.
With
no need to phone around for brochures, make appointments
for visits or go online-there was time to relax and eave the planning in
the hands
of the professionals while one had fun and got pampered!

Age is not a barrier as an 18 year old would have the same excitement
as an 80 year old to plan their special day! It is great to see
couples
attend our shows from out of town as well from overseas.
For the
convenience of the couples attending the show,
bridal
fashion shows were held at 11.30am and 2.30pm-hosted by
ever popular-CTV Good Living presenter, Kate Kouloubrakis.

A lot of planning goes into presentation of a well balanced show.
Your Day Trust’s board
members have carefully appointed Canterbury’s finest

professionals to offer their expertise to those contemplating getting
married.

bridal fashion houses featuring the latest designs for the bride, groom,
mother of the bride and the rest of the wedding entourage.
Robyn Cliffe,
Brides of Merivale, Affordable Elegance,
Avon Bodal Gowns,Bridal Wholesalers and Deans Suit Hire,
showcased the latest style on the catwalk.
My hugest thanks go to the 28 female models and 4 male models,
who worked so hard to make this such a fantastic show.
Also to Selina Nunn Makeup
Artists, who so diligently helped with makeup,
hair and choreography.
Selina also helped me at Global Wedding Extravaganza and is renown
for her 'body painting for special occasions ,including Race Days.
Also a vote of thanks to Mark Shane, who
worked behind the scenes!
All floral arrangement for the catwalk being supplied by The Flower Room, including a
gorgeous bouquet for Kate! Thank you, Sharyn!

About The
Royal Foundation Of The Blind
What a cutie! Guide Puppy Nicky.
· Guide
dogs mean freedom, independence, confidence and companionship,
but these important mobility aids come at a high cost.
·
It costs $22,500 to breed, raise, train and match a guide dog before it
graduates as part of a working team.
·
Guide dogs are provided free of charge to the Royal New Zealand Foundation of
the
Blind's (RNZFB) members. Guide Dog Services receives no government
funding,
all costs are covered by public donations, legacies and corporate sponsorship.
·
The Royal New Zealand Foundation of the Blind needs funds to continue providing
guide dogs and other valuable services to blind, vision-impaired and deaf
/ blind New Zealanders.
