NZ Actress Receives Two Nominations for the 2010 Golden Globe Awards
New Zealand actress Anna Paquin received two nominations – best actress in a TV drama series for True Blood and best actress in a miniseries or movie made for TV for The Courageous Heart of Irena Sendler.
Peter Jackson’s film The Lovely Bones only received one nomination, which was best supporting actor for Stanley Tucci.
Up in the Air leads with six nominations including best drama, plus directing and screenplay honours for Jason Reitman. George Clooney earned a best dramatic actor slot as a frequent-flyer junkie travelling the country in first-class seats and premium car rentals as he fires the rank-and-file at downsizing companies.
