Evermore Receives Top Awards At Apra 2005
Evermore received top awards at the APRA Silver Scroll Award at Auckland yesterday.
Brothers Jon, Peter and Dann Hume’s band has gone from top Kiwi school band in 2000 to APRA Silver Scroll
Award winners this year ! The band has also signed a five-album deal with Warner Bros
and may move to the US next year.
Their first album Dreams ,went platinum in Australia, selling over 70,000 copies.The band also won Super Nova Break-though Award at the Australian MTV Awards.
Neil and Tim Finn’s Wont Give In ,received Most Performed Work in New Zealand Award Neil Finn’s Dont Dream It Over received Most Performed Work Overseas Award .
Anituatua and Whirimako Black won Apra Maioha Award.
Ross Harris- Labyrinth For Tuba & Orchestra, won The Sounz Contemporary Award.
